Trash & Recyclables Pickup
New garbage bins are available through Harter's. New recycling bins can be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk (920) 336-2814.
Harter’s picks up trash each Monday and recyclables every other Monday, except on Memorial Day and Labor Day, and when a holiday falls on a Monday. When holidays fall on Mondays, they will pick up on Tuesdays.
- Trash must be placed in your cart and wheeled out to the road on collection days no later than 6:00 a.m.
- Recyclables should also be placed in your recycling cart and wheeled to the road for collection no later than 6:00 a.m.
- Package trash and recyclables so that they won't blow away when the loader dumps the cart, i.e. put newspapers, etc. in paper bag or tie in a bundle.
- Large item pick up is the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Hazardous Material
The only place to properly dispose of hazardous materials is to the Brown County Household Hazardous Waste Facility. It is located at 2561 South Broadway in Ashwaubenon, just north of Highway 172, and will accept materials from households and small businesses that pose a threat to human health and the environment. These are materials that are flammable, poisonous, corrosive or reactive. Their hours of operation are Thursdays- Noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Electronics Recycling
Residents have many opportunities to recycle electronics. The following items are banned from landfill disposal: televisions, computers, DVD/VCR players, fax machines, keyboards, mice, speakers, flash drives, hard drives and cell phones.
The Brown County Household Hazardous Waste Facility provides electronic recycling as well as a number of businesses such as Best Buy, Cyber Works, Goodwill Industries, Lamp Recyclers, Milwaukee C and Norsec Computer Recyclers. Please call ahead for information on pricing and guidelines.
Pharmaceutical Disposal
- Sharps Disposal
It is illegal to put sharps in the trash or with recyclables. Sharps users are highly encouraged to discard their sharps in an acceptable sharps container and take them to a designated sharps collection facility. Many local pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics in Brown County will accept these containers. - Medication Disposal
Unused medications should not be thrown out or flushed down a drain. Local law enforcement agencies collect medication to assure it is disposed of properly. Proper disposal reduces the change of theft, accidental poisoning of children and pets, and protects the environment.
